How To Feel Good
68
Raise Your Energy Level
Some days we feel so down in the dumps and can’t understand why. We try to get out of it and sometimes we are successful and at other times not. That’s because we are pure energy and we pick up whatever is in our environment. That good friend that just called you with bad news is a good example.
We vibrate like that cell phone or radio station that we listen to. We pick up or capture what’s out there. You lowered your good vibes and took on the “bad”.
The object is to keep your “good vibes”, to be able to keep your peace even though you are constantly being bombarded.
When we are in the flow our lives flow easily and without effort. When we are out of the flow it feels as if we are swimming against the current. A constant effort to make things work saps our energy and brings on stress.

Allowing
Allowing is the key to getting back in the flow of life. You’ve heard of the law of attraction? What you think about and feel is what you attract. Allow the Universe (GOD) to provide all that you’ve been asking for. I can hear the grumbles now asking what is she talking about? I don’t profess to have it all worked out or to understand it all. I stumble and fall often. Today, one step forward and three steps back.
I do know that the times that I was allowing, the doors seemed to magically open and provide what I needed. I’m always getting what I need not necessarily what I desire. There’s usually a problem with those two words, want and need. Truth be told, we all want and as long as we are here, will keep on wanting stuff.
So how do we do this allowing thing? Allowing is just another way of saying that you're feeling good. Think of something that makes you feel good. Hmm, knew you’d go there. Let’s think about simple things, for example a tall glass of lemonade or water on a hot day, a smile from a friend or petting your dog/cat. You get the idea.
The act of thinking of the above examples made you feel good. When you feel good you are allowing. The more that you move away from resistance to thoughts that make you feel good the closer you get to Source Energy/GOD/Universe/Jah, or whatever you call it.
Ways to connect to Source Energy are plentiful. We can consider walking, gardening, jogging, driving and bird watching forms of meditations because it gets us out of our mind and worries and allows us to raise our vibration.
Alternative music such as African drumming or sounds of nature and yoga are also wonderful ways to get back to feeling good. Remember, the whole idea is to feel good more and more until it is a learned way of living.

Excellent advice. I enjoyed reading these words of encouragement. Well done!
Always good to reflect on these things. Experience is so often coloured by mood, after all. Greetings from eastern Canada!
Hello my beautiful friend and blessings! Nice Hub! I admit that my PEACE comes from Jesus Christ, only because I refuse to let the enemy brain wash me. Blessings to you and when you get a chance, stop by.
Well done, Chris. I like the concept of "allowing" - I think we too often block the flow of energy by adhering to outdated and negative beliefs about ourselves. Will link it to mine on personal growth and balance.
Love and peace

Hello Chris, Your profile caught my eye - being from Ontario, Canada and all. I live in Buffalo, New York and wanted to give you a shout out. I enjoyed this hub. Taking the time to enjoy life is always good advice. Thanks.
nice hub. I want feeing good all the time. The important point is don't forget to pray and remember for God who giving us life.
Hi Chris,
No, believe it or not it's my granddaughter, Nyomi. (I was married right out of high school.) If you are interested I have a picture of me and the rest of family on my hub, "A Poor Man's Guide to Great Vacations". Brittany (my middle child) with "Bratt" scrolled across her bum in the Disney pictures is her mother.
I hope to get to know you better. Let's stay in touch! :)
Hey there Chris Eddy. I thought I'd better get over here and check you out some more. I've missed you. This is a hub I've missed. It's great. Unfortunately- I'm a grump every day. Thanks for the great hub my dear.
There is a certain type of music that when I hear it, it allows me to connect with my inner self and it just seems that I can close my eyes and it takes me away to some far away place, somewhere peaceful and beautiful and I feel so good, so different when I'm there. Maybe thats strange but I love it. Great hub Chris!!
Great hub Chris Eddy111. The thing I find difficult though, is keeping that good feeling ongoing! I can usually get there fairly quickly but keeping it another thing all together. I'll have to try that African drumming thing...
callmefoxxy, my pen is a mighty sword!
Awesome hub Chris. Many folks know where they want to go, but don't have a roadmap to show the way.
You've shown us one way which works. Thank you.
We need more people spreading positivity and joy like this.
Cheers
Wonderful hub, straight to the point. always nice to see some positivity being sent out! rated up!
Terrific Hub. There should be more of this in the world. I believe we all have an obligation to do whatever we can to be happy, if nothing else for the sake of those around us. This seems like feeling good is a great starting place. Keep up the good work.
I have learned that I need to filter what information I allow into my brain. I try to stay away from those who are too negative because the thoughts that they transmit are draining and take away the positive energy that I have. It is not easy. I love this hub. You are good at conveying your message in a way that makes it easy to understand and follow. Thanks for a great article. Teresa

Great advice, Chris. Misery certainly loves company, right? Whenever a friend of mine comes to me with something that is emotionally trying to them, I always do my best to cheer them and encourage them to get out of their funk. Doing so actually helps me, whether I'm aware of it or not. Thanks for sharing this!
